Juna Amagara Ministries (JAM)
Juna Amagara is the Missions organization we helped in Uganda, and are raising money to support with this bike ride.
The vision for Juna Amagara originated with Ben Tumuheirwe in May 1985 as he marched out of a court-house in Kampala. Ben had been arrested for "Holding an unlawful assembly” at Makerere University , but thanks to prayer, the government’s case against Ben was dismissed. On that day, he dedicated his life to God for use in bringing the saving message of His love and grace to children and youth in schools and parents in the communities. In 2004, the vision became reality as a group of American traveling with Ben to Uganda urged him to start a ministry specifically to save the lives of children in his home country.
Sevenoseven
Sevenoseven is home church for many of the members of RideAmagara.

Sevenoseven is a community of young adults who have found the amazing life that comes from knowing Jesus Christ. We're convinced that the best life possible is the life that Jesus brings; a life full of hope, peace, purpose, and joy.
Our vision and charge is to impact young adults - both single and married - for Christ in the Greater Cleveland area. The invitation is to come together with others that want real life answers, a place to hang out, and a sense of community that is authentic.
It is unapologetically Christ-centered, exalting Jesus who has rescued each generation. Sevenoseven exists to build fresh faith into the lives of a generation that at times has been abandoned by their family, their friends, and even their church.
Sevenoseven exists to tell young adults about solid hope. God has not abandoned them. It exists to fill a gap in our time. Many in our generation have felt left out at church. They want and need to express their faith in service, community, and worship. Sevenoseven gives identity and recognition to the emerging generation.
The Great Allegheny Passage
This is the path we will be taking, here you can receive more information about the first 2/3 of our route.
The Allegheny Trail Alliance (ATA) is a coalition of seven trail organizations in southwestern Pennsylvania and western Maryland, building the Great Allegheny Passage, a 150-mile multiple use rail-trail system between Cumberland, Maryland and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the 52-mile Montour Trail to provide a connection to the Pittsburgh International Airport. The Passage is now connected to the 184.5 mile C & O Canal Towpath in Cumberland and provides a non-motorized, nearly level trail system between Washington, DC and McKeesport, PA. The Great Allegheny Passage is a segment of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail, one of eight nationally designated scenic trails.
Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park
This is the second 1/3 of the route we will be taking, here you can receive more information about it.
Preserving America’s colorful Canal era and transportation history, the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park is 184.5 miles of adventure. Originally, the C&O Canal was a lifeline for communities and businesses along the Potomac River as coal, lumber, grain and other agricultural products floated down the canal to market. Today millions of visitors hike or bike the C&O Canal each year to enjoy the natural, cultural and recreational opportunities available.
